Please join us in this celebration of bicycling by competing in an event that has become a must-do for mountain bikers in Santa Barbara and areas everywhere. $5 from each entry fee will be donated to the Elings Park Foundation.
The downhill course winds down a 400 vertical foot, spectator-friendly hillside which overlooks the Pacific Ocean at Elings “South” Park area. This year’s course has been redesigned with multiple table tops, rock garden, single track, ladder drops and bermed switchbacks that drop into a meadow that continue with tabletop jumps and berms to the finish. The race format is a combined two run time with a 12:30 start time for all riders and 30 second start spacing. Shuttle practice will start at 9:00 am - 12:00 pm in the South Park parking lot. The downhill race will run in conjunction with all-day events including Super D, BMX racing, music, great food, vendors, clinics and other cycling related activities.
The Dual Slalom course starts mid-hillside next to the Downhill course. The starting box is a 2 minute push from the bottom of the hill in South Park. This “old school style” course with six elevated side by side berms, non-intimating double, triple and quad jumps. Its fast and fun side by side racing that finishes with a tabletop jump and 4 flat turns to the finish line. Practice starts at 9:00am followed by Qualifying 10:30am and finals at 12:30pm.
